Day 14 of 365: Daddy's Birthday Party!

On Saturday, we celebrated Steve's birthday by heading out to eat with our immediate family.  We took Steve to his favorite restaurant (buffalo wild wings) and then came back to our house for a little cake and ice cream.  Drew had an absolute ball playing with all his favorite people and he also showed lots of love!  I love when he's affectionate!  :)  We had such a good time and it's so nice to be able to celebrate with family!  :)

1st Birthday Party!!!

We decided on a train themed birthday party to celebrate the little dude's 1st birthday!  We had the party at a train themed restaurant, did candy trains for the favor, Drew wore a train outfit and there was a train on his birthday cake!

The party was a huge success even though Drew was a little tired, he did really well!  He was a very social little guy and made sure to at least say hi at each table.  He also LOVED his smash cake and that was definitely the highlight of the party!

He is also very loved.  He got some wonderful presents and he sure is having fun playing with everything!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Drew!!!!!

Holy moly, our little dude is one!!!  I took a 1/2 day to spend with my dudes and I am so glad I did.  We met nanna and nannu for lunch and Drew got a chance to eat his very first cupcake!  We had a wonderful day with Drew celebrating this wonderful little boy!  His big party is on the 5th and I cant wait to see what he'll do with his cake then!

And for the record, oh my goodness does this kid look just like me in this picture!  WOW.  Poor kid, haha!!

Getting Ready for Drew's 1st Birthday!

Just so we are clear, I can't believe that Steve and I are making preparations for the little dude's 1st birthday party!  It feels like we just had him instead of getting ready to celebrate Drew's first year of life!  It's so crazy to me.

Anyway, we decided to do a train themed birthday party since dad is so into trains.  I found a very cute invite online that matched with the theme but it required a picture of Drew.  So i ordered him a conductor's hat and we began the oh so challenging task of getting a good picture.  :)

Here's what we got the first night we tried:

Daddy wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate his birthday and we had a grand ole time! Both grandmas and grandpas came, Auntie Theresa and Uncle Nick, Aunt Diana and Grandma Shaw.  Then we came back to our house for cake and ice cream.  It was a good day!!
